What is your opinion about immigration?
Letting foreigners enter our country is good for two things, first because people who come from other countries, most of them need to find economic stability, there are people like Haitians who have nowhere to sleep or eat, where they can receive both things and with tasks that not everyone does, and second, because it is time for the world to continue to globalize and understand that we have to be tolerant, since ancient times people are racist when in reality there has never been an original race, we are all hybridized other immigrants throughout history, on the other hand, Chile should have an immigration policy that not all immigrants come for work, if not that they come for traffic, or people traffic and that is what needs to be improved. Letting people take advantage of a good quality of life is not bad, we must respect each other because one day we might have to emigrate from our country for a better future and we would like to be welcomed with open arms.
What is your opinion about buying instead of adopting pets?
They should no longer sell dogs, there is an overpopulation of dogs at least in Chile. In this business dogs are forced to cross, they are not given the attention and care they need so that the mother with the puppy can get sick, I think it is unnecessary to buy dogs, I think if you really want to have one, they must adopt since race does not matter, neither color or size, when a partner is wanted there should be no criteria for it. In addition, females dogs that are not sterilized suffer from serious diseases such as mastitis and pyometra, so it is important that they are sterilized in time so that females dogs do not suffer or have to go through this process that is painful. The bad practices in this business have exceeded limits, and it is necessary to penalize them, that they have a punishment, or that they simply prohibit them.
What is your opinion about recycling?
Today there is awareness in society about the use of plastic and materials harmful to the environment, and it is very important that this is massified and spread throughout the world, because we have overexploited the environment and filled it with garbage, Seas are infested with garbage, animals are rapidly starting to die and then they will begin to die out because of us, and that is why it is our responsibility to reduce the consumption and use of these materials. Municipalities must reach people and teach them that recycling is very beneficial, reuse and reduce are very important, and should be applied every day in everyday life. Every day counts, every day we can take the plastic bottles, cardboard boxes, shampoo bottles, used paper sheets, appliances, electronic devices to the recycling, in this way we will be helping the planet, and helping ourselves, it is important to be responsible with what we consume and the garbage we generate.
What is your opinion about animal testing?
Animal testing is a horrible laboratory practice, which damages animals, even leading them to what could be death, I think they should not follow these practices, many years ago maybe there was no other method, but I think that today with technology. There are, they could perfectly do the tests on other artifacts. In my case, I try to buy beauty products, or for health that are not tested on animals, so I know that I do not contribute to that industry, because it is terrible, it is painful, animals were not created for the use and benefit of the breed human, they are not our toys or our livelihood and many people do not understand, because they believe that there is no more powerful. I think that if everyone knew about this, people would change their minds and care much more when buying any product that has to do with animal testing, which is a clear example of animal abuse.
